Im no luck in baking. No matter how seriously i follow a recipe to bake a cake/cookies, it still dont turn out good or even close to good. This time for the boy sake, i just made some butter cookies (not gingerbread, i dont like) for deco time. Yuta liked to play around with the icing and the sugar sprinkle and he liked the cookies. That was nice having keep him occupied for 30minutes.
I made a carrot cake for the husband"s birthday 2 weeks ago. It took me 2 attempt to get a "eatable" and cooked cake done. It was the most "cake like" cake that i ever made lol. While im reading the recipe and mixing the ingredient to bake that carrot cake, i felt like giving up half way, reason being, it was just so scary to realise how much sugar, oil and fat is contained in such a small cake.
