For the first time im feeling summer is coming to an end. The weather is cooling down a bit with sunny sky and some comfortable breeze. My favourite time now is early in the morning to sip my hot cup of coffee, a hot cup of coffee again in the afternoon when Yuta naps and at night a glass of wine (husband brought back from germany last week) and a short chat with huband at the patio. The are a set back about our apartment because it is too near to the entrance so we dont get alot of privacy while trying to get some quiet time at the patio.

Kids grow up too fast and we grow old too fast. Yuta is turning 18months now. His concentration span is building up and he is into toys alot these days. I can get more chores done while he is busy with his toys and he is obviously taking a longer nap. I remembered i was ranting about the hard times i have with him just weeks ago, now he has grown up to be a more agreeable toddler, no more a baby. I am getting back some of my own time, im flipping on books again and is back with some home deco. While i still cant call my apartment a nice and clean place but it is definitely looks better than before.

Organic this , Organic that. Im more into organic produce now at least for food that Yuta eats. You cant get everything organic but for some selection like cabbage, carrot, chicken, strawberry i will definitely go for organic. Price of organic produce here is not that much difference like back home in KL, they might be more expensive by $0.50 to $1.Im not sure if im right, but things here give me the impression that chemical and pesticide is widely used. I have tried so many brands of bath detergent and dish liquid but i still find the smell of chemical unbearable and even with the strong chemical smell they dont work so well. Next, no choice but i will have to try on the organic detergent. Im doing some container vegetable planting, starting with some onions. Im not sure my black fingers will turn out to be green fingers but they are fun.

What im reading. The mommy diaries. I got this books from MOPS (moms of preschooler) from a church. they are short stories about how moms everyday adventures and about finding your `self` and identity as mom, wife and daugther. Yeah, it is encouraging especially when you have bad times. I go to the church every Tuesday where they have MOPS meeting and some light discussion on husband and wife relationship and some craft ideas for kids. I like to go there they have a very nice nursery to take care of Yuta while we are in the meeting and important thing is that Yuta likes it. Once a week i will dress up and put on some make up because this is the only time, i dont have to chase Yuta around and chat with other ladies about some non kids stuff. Feel like im not totally disconnected from the society afterall. Talking about religion. I dont practise one. Im not sure im even ready to adopt one. My neighbour who brought me there often invites me to go with them to the sunday church but i dont think i wanna spend few hours without my husband on a Sunday since weekend is the only time we can have our time together.

Illegal driving. Im still driving with my international driving license which is not recognise by state of Texas after 1 month (some say 3) arrival to the State. If im caught i will be in trouble(what kind of trouble , im not sure). No choice, i have to get around. Im still waiting for my social security number. Why it takes me so long, im not sure. My application was successful on my third visit there. First, they told me i need to bring my marriage certificate since my visa on dependant. Then i have to wait for my luggage from japan to arrive. I dont have a car back then, i didnt go for a while. 2nd visit, they said i need to get it translated blah, blah.. third time, everything is in order, my application is processed and should be receiving the number after 2 weeks but i now is 3 weeks i still didnt get it. I called and asked, they only answer i get is `if i were you i will wait, or you can send in another application if you like`. When come to things like this, it always make me likes Japan, when they say 2 weeks, means you will always get your reply in your mail box 1 day before 2 weeks. sigh...people always like to compare, thats human.
And without the number i cannot apply for an id, i still have to carry my passport around.
