Hurricane Ike

It is the hurricane season here. We just have hurricane Gustav last week but luckily it didnt hit texas directly just brought some rain. We are urge to be prepared at all time since it is the hurricane season now, to be prepared means, you have food, water, flash light, full tank of gasoline in your car etc in stock just in case electricity and water being cut out during the storm/hurricane. We dont really prepare, we just have some extra bottles of water and make sure the flash light is working at home, as for food, we always have so much rice and cup ramen at home, with a portable gas stove and few spare gas, i guess it is sufficient. This time we have to take this hurricane very seriously, looks like it is a not so big but strong one. So, better safe than sorry, i made 2 trips to the supermarket yesterday. It was so busy and messy in the market. Everybody grapping their food, water, cashier line so long, waited about 20minutes to checkout.

I forgot something that i need so i go back on 2nd trip trying to get more flash lights and battery, the shelves are all almost emptied, no bread, no water, no battery, no more canned soup.. blah.. and that i realise this is really going to be real? in gasoline stand, no more gas, in this county only 3 gas stand have remaining gas, all other stand have put out a NO MORE GAS sign. wow, reminds me of the scene of some movie, tornado etc.. everybody is like RUN, RUN, RUN for your life. Plp who is living near the coastline had been issued the mandatory evacuation warning, so out on road is so busy. It is expected to make a landfall on the coastline early tommorow morning but the wind is getting stronger by now. Good thing about this, husband got a day off today, the office is close and get a break from the heat. good luck. oh there might be some tornado as well, hoping to see one but not pray that it will not swipe out the apartment. i know a tornado is not so cool as thought, but just wanna see one.
