Talking about Japan? What do you have in mind? fast, efficient, hard working.. blah.. this is common image of plp have with japan. Fast, Efficient, i used to thought so, but after many years working with J, i tend to have a little draw back on this image. Well, of course compare to Mal, there are many areas that we need to learn. As i posted recently about the marriage procedure, it is just so different when you call to department in KL and to JP. This lady in KL tell me, dont disturb me dont call many times, i have alot of work. Why do i need to call many times if the infor provided is sufficient. There is not a one stop info centre, where you have to find out where you should find out one particular info, so you have to call many department, then link it all back by yourself, do the flow chart before you can understand how the whole system works. Coz of this frustration that i kena bambu by this lady in the department, i called city hall in jp, where you can ask for assistance in english, chinese, indonesian, spanish besides Japanese. This lady in city hall can tell me from A-Z of what i need to prepare and do. Besides additional info provided before i ask. I call for 2nd time to the same lady in city hall, this time enquiring about child birth in Japan, i have got too much Q to ask so i sent her email, reply receive in the same day. I say to myself, what else can i ask for.. it is just so convenient, efficient, effective even without speaking any Japanese.
ok, Here comes the not so perfect part. The day when i was so anxious asking my bf to hurry up to get the medic test done , he told me it takes 2 weeks to get the report out. I was like gee.. in Mal you can get it in 3 days when it is urgent case. So i asked my bf why is so inefficient, i was told sometimes it takes 1 month to do a medic check? im not sure whether the info he provided is correct coz he oso blur like sotong most of the time. Then today, at last the report is out after 9 days (earlier than expected) but it is all in Japanese, so bf asked the doc to do a English version and doc said he needs another 9 days to get it done. Huh? I wonder how emergency case is treated, if i really need the result in no time, than what should i do?
In a Yahoo forum, there are many post about medic issue in japan such as they lack awareness of HIV, doc do not reco you to do yearly mammogram even when age reaches 50, only do it when a lump or growing is found, dont do not allow you to ask question or u will get chase out from the clinic..all this articles make me wonder, is this for real?
