Citizenship

I thought i can get a Malaysia Citizenship/birth certificate for my bb this time. After asking about the procedure about how to do the application from a japanese friend who the husband is a Malaysian, i decided to check on the Malaysian embassy website to find out more. Only to my surprise it says the condition is "Father of the child is a Malaysian Citizen". I was like puzzle for a while with the mouth open wide question mark huh? and dissapointment. What about me the mother of the child who is a Malaysian? Im not sure if i even want to call ask about this.
