Yuta`s 1 year old Birthday

. This is a back issue but just have to make a record here on this important event. Yuta turn 1 on 26 April and we have that celebrated on 27th , 1 day later then his birthday. We were back to Kyushu then and it was really nice to have it celebrates together with jiji and baba. Baba (grandma) woke up early to make mochi and sekihan (rice with readbean, eaten on special occasion) for the celebration. Look at that scarf like cloth sling back, there is a mochi(japanese rice cake) inside, it weigh about 1kg. This symbolise he will be blessed by food throughout his life (maybe?).. and Yuta was given a pen, a badminton racket, a calculator, and a hamonica to choose and he chose a pen, and they say he is going to be a scholar.. wow..

Chinese practise this custom too in the olden days but i doubt anybody still doing this now.

And once Yvonne said that Yuta looks like the type that he will become a chess player..
Whatever he turn out to be , he is mommy`s and daddy`s boy.
