For the first time i went to see the parade of Thaipusam at Batu Cave. Together with Mr. M and Ms. E, we went there early in the saturday morning. As expected it was crowded and the crowd makes a nice combination of colours by dressing of devottees.
This year is especially special event due to the launching of The Lord Murugan Statue. Devotees who carry kavadi will poke sharp object to their body as to learn the spirit of tolerance about pain. Kavadi will be brought up to the cave and along the way, devotees shout Vie-Vie. What does Vie-Vie mean, asked Ms. E. According to Indian colleague, Vie-Vie is the powerful weapon (look like sword) that carries by The Lord Murugan.
